Walk-ins are welcome, but as a busy restaurant in Edinburgh Old Town, we recommend placing a reservation in advance. Complete your reservation through Opentable which is embedded on this webpage.

About our no-show charge

You will be required to associate your debit or credit card with your booking. No funds will be charged at any point, unless you fail to show up to your reservation or cancel on the day. No-show charges are at our manager’s discretion.

Cabo offers accessible entry and accessible toilet facilities. We strive to offer an inclusive experience for all of our customers.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

We offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please let your server know about any allergies or dietary needs when ordering.

Booking Policies

For large bookings, a deposit may be required to secure your booking.

Menu items are subject to availability. Gift vouchers and other promotions are honoured at the manager’s discretion and in line with our terms and conditions.

A group of us had a birthday celebration here. It was a great night. The food that was brought to the table was excellent and really did taste like authentic Mexican food. The table we were at was large enough for the ten of us, and our server was polite, prompt and well presented. She even got us all to do the Mexican tequila chant. She also recommended that when ordering treat the food like tapas and share. There are toilets for customers downstairs to the right as you come in the front door.

Very lovely and well put together restaurant! Staff are very friendly and welcoming, coats were taken and placed out of site. Very warm and cosy feeling in the restaurant, some might find it a bit dim (low lighting). Very elegant and clean inside. Was offered water and the drinks menu. Decent selection of wine and cocktails. I settled for a beer whilst waiting. Later went with house red, which was lovely, which is surprising for the house. Food was amazing!!! So tasty and filling. Would definitely come back here.

I was impressed by the design of the restaurant, utilising the Victorian details, with added modern motifs with it all in a contrasting colour scheme. The food was top notch, I had the Vampiro Tacos. Staff was excellent.

Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We had the cauliflower tempura, calamares, some fries, some chicken tacos and I think a beef short rib croquette. I would highly recommend the calamares. It was delicious and paired with samphire which is my favourite. The croquettes were also delicious but I’m unsure if they are still on the menu. Everything else was good too!
